Kolkata horror: Chemist association holds protest march

Ludhiana, August 21

Under the banner of the District Chemists Association, wholesale and retail chemists took out a protest march at Bharat Nagar Chowk against the rape and murder of a resident doctor in Kolkata. All the protesters were holding placards in their hands.

Wholesale Chemists Association president Ashok Dabur Lovely said during the period of the protest, the chemist shops were kept close from 9 to 11 am.

Lovely said the brutality meted out to the doctor has put the entire country to shame. The goddess is worshiped the most in the state where the doctor was raped and murdered. The Chief Minister of Kolkata is also a woman. The government should provide justice to the family of the deceased doctor. The case of her murder and rape should be registered in a fast track court and the accused should be given capital punishment.
