The Khanna police have solved all major crimes reported in past months with the arrest of suspects. The maximum cases were solved by the police within hours of the occurrence of the crimes. To further boost the morale of police personnel and motivate them to continue to perform duty with utmost dedication, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Khanna, Ashwini Gotyal distributed cash rewards and appreciation certificates among police officials who solved crime in a short span of time by working day and night.

The Khanna police distributed CC-1 certificates and cash prizes among their officials who performed their duty with dedication and dignity and successfully solved different cases, including heinous ones. It was done to acknowledge their efforts and boost the morale to work even harder in the future, said Gotyal, adding that “Cash rewards of Rs 5 lakh were distributed among 120 deserving police officials, from gazetted officers to Punjab Home Guards, who have shown immense dedication in their duty, and 86 CC-1 certificates were distributed among deserving officials for their good work in different categories.”

The SSP said she appreciated one off-duty ASI who caught two thieves red-handed and in another case, an ASI shifted a pregnant woman from her house to a hospital in an area where even an ambulance was not able to reach.

The SSP revealed that till now cash rewards worth around Rs 10 lakh were distributed among Khanna police officials. “Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav always appreciates police officials and motivates them. During the recent visit to Khanna, the DGP had clearly told the force to perform and vest policing, rewards will continue to be showered on the force,” Gotyal added.

Major cases solved by Khanna police in short time

Shivpuri temple theft case: The case solved within seven working days as cops travelled all the way to other states to catch the suspects. It was an interstate operation involving Punjab, HP, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Maintaining law and order was also a big challenge as Hindu groups had blocked the national highway in Khanna to protest against the incident.

Taxi driver murder case: The murder case of a taxi driver on the Samrala national highway was solved within 24 hours in which the suspect was arrested from Muzaffarnagar. Neither the suspect nor the victim had any connection to Khanna but technical and scientific probe helped crack the case. It was also an interstate operation involving Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and UP.

Malaud Murder case: The suspect was arrested within two hours in the case. A lady was brutally murdered by her paramour at night but the police acted swiftly and arrested the suspect within two hours.

Khanna murder case: The suspect was arrested within two hours. The crime was reported at 12:30 am and by 2:30 am, he was rounded up.

AAP leader’s murder case: The sensational Ikolaha murder case of AAP leader Tarlochan Singh was also solved and the suspect was arrested within two hours of reporting of crime.
