In infra boost, MLA inaugurates projects worth Rs 1.59 crore
To give quality infrastructure in the city a boost, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 1.59 crore on Saturday.
These include reconstruction of central verge from main Sundar Nagar road to 70-feet road (ward numbers 8 and 10) at a cost of around Rs 33.73 lakh; reconstruction of streets in Ghati Valmiki, Ghati Jeeva Ram and Vakilan Mohalla (new ward number 83 and old ward number 61) at a cost of around Rs 52.09 lakh; laying of water-sewer lines in Ghati Jeeva Ram (new ward number 83 and old ward number 61) at a cost of Rs 49.15 lakh; inaugurating newly installed 25 HP tubewell in street number 11 of Hargobind Nagar (new ward number 80 and old ward number 55) at a cost of Rs 12.22 lakh and installing of 25 HP tubewell in Islam Ganj (new ward number 75 and old ward number 52) at a cost of around 12.34 lakh.
MLA Prashar said that the residents have been demanding these development projects for a long time, but no one paid heed to it. After the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came to power in state, the MLA said he had taken up these issues with the authorities and projects worth crores are now being taken up in Ludhiana Central assembly constituency. The MLA said that quality infrastructure is being developed across Ludhiana Central assembly constituency and more development projects would be inaugurated in days to come.
