In her Budget speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced three new employee-linked incentive schemes. The three schemes included in the Prime Minister’s Package will align with EPFO enrolment and aim to focus on recognising first-time employees as well as providing assistance to both employees and employers.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, CICU president, said the Union Government should make the new schemes more convenient after consulting with industrial associations.

Ahuja and Honey Sethi, general secretary, CICU in a joint statement added, “An awareness session on the schemes, arranged in coordination with the associations, would be beneficial.”
