The illegal building being razed at Gurdev Nagar in Ludhiana.

Taking action against illegal constructions, the Municipal Corporation (MC) demolished an illegal under-construction building in Gurdev Nagar here on Saturday.

The owner has been constructing a commercial building in a residential area.

Building branch officials of the MC Zone D said they had received a complaint against the illegal activity, following which a warning was issued to the owner to stop the illegal construction. But the person continued the construction work, after which action was taken in the matter on Saturday and the building was demolished.
