Hit-and-run claims man’s life

A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the Tajpur flyover late on Tuesday night. The victim was crushed by the unknown vehicle.
On Tuesday night, the man was returning home when he met with the mishap.
The deceased was identified as Ishwar Singh (32), a resident of the Tibba road area.
The police said after getting information, ASI Malkit Singh had reached the scene on Tuesday night. The body was badly mutilated due to which it could not be identified. On Wednesday morning, on the basis of the Aadhaar card recovered from the pocket of the deceased, he was identified and his family was informed.
On the complaint of the deceased’s family, a case of negligent driving was registered against the unidentified driver and CCTV cameras installed on the highway were being checked to get any clue about the vehicle.
The family of the deaceased demanded that the errant driver of the unknown vehicle should be arrested.
