Green Land students shine at district athletics meet
Green Land Convent School, New Subash Nagar, near Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana, celebrated the achievements of its students in the district-level athletics meet.
With a total of five medals — two silver and three bronze — the young athletes demonstrated exceptional talent, determination and sportsmanship, bringing pride and recognition to the school.
In the U-19 girls’ category, Raunakpreet achieved success by winning two silver medals in the 200m race and the 4x100m relay, and the bronze in the 100-m race and got selected for state-level athletic meet.
In the U-19 boys’ category, Sohail contributed to the school’s achievements by earning the bronze in the 4x100 meters relay race.
In the U-17 girls’ category, Pehal secured the bronze in the long jump event showcasing her versatility and athleticism.
Dr Rajesh Rudhra, Chairman, Green Land Schools, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the athletes for their impressive performances. He emphasised that their success was a testament to their hard work and perseverance. He expressed confidence that Raunakpreet, in particular, would continue to excel at the state-level and bring further laurels to the school.
Principal Dr Jyoti Sachdev Pujara also congratulated the students on their achievements. She highlighted the importance of sports in fostering physical strength, mental resilience and teamwork. She expressed immense pride in the athletes’ dedication and remarked that their accomplishments served as an inspiration for the entire school community.
