Gang of snatchers busted, three arrested

The Moti Nagar police claimed to have busted a gang of snatchers with the arrest of three of its members. The police also recovered one motorcycle from the accused.

The arrested accused were identified as Ravinder Kumar, alias Golu, native of Bihar, a resident of Kishore Nagar, Rahul, a native of UP, also now a resident of Kishore Nagar and Sagar resident of Sherpur.

Inspector Varinderpal Singh Uppal said acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and nabbed the accused identified as Ravinder and Rahul. Later, another accused Sagar was also arrested by the police.

Uppal added that during the questioning of the accused, they admitted that they had committed several snatching incidents in the industrial hub. Now, the police would check the involvement of the accused in past unsolved loot and robberies. The police remand of the accused would also be sought from court so that in further investigation more members of the gang can be identified and looted valuables can be recovered.
