Elderly woman murdered in Khanna
Kamlesh Rani, aged around 65 years, was brutally murdered by another woman in Khanna on Wednesday night. The suspect has been identified as Shan Abbas, who was reportedly arrested by the Khanna police.
According to information, the incident occurred last evening in the Uccha Vehra area near Rani Talab between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm when the victim was alone at home. The suspect, who was captured in the CCTV footage, with her face covered, entered the house at 7:30 pm and came out after committing the crime at 9:30 pm.
The victim’s both sons are into fast food business. When the duo returned home in the midnight, they found their mother murdered. Following which, they called up
their relatives and informed the police.
The police claimed to have arrested the woman. It is learnt that the suspect used to visit the elderly woman and on Wednesday evening, she came with a marriage proposal for one of her sons. Later, she killed the victim and took away her gold jewellery and Rs 4,500 in cash.
