Coaching centre trainees excel in gymnastics competition

Trainees and budding gymnasts of the coaching centre run here at the multipurpose indoor hall, opposite Guru Nanak Stadium, under the supervision of Sports Department coach, Prem Singh, exhibited a fine combination of strength and flexibility to finish on the victory podium in the District-Level Primary School Gymnastics Competition, held here.

Jaideep Singh, a student of Police DAV School, Civil Lines, secured the top position in table vault and floor exercise disciplines besides the team event.

Harsh Kamboj of Green Land Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar bypass branch, secured the second all-round gymnast. Yakshit Sharma, student of BCM Senior Secondary School, Sector 32, Chandigarh road branch, won the all-round third position. Agamjot Singh, student of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar branch, too finished among the position holders. He finished third in the table vault event.
