Briefly: Man dies in road mishap

The Ladhowal police have registered a case against an unidentified truck driver on the basis of a complaint filed by Sunil Kumar of Bagga Khurd village in Ladhowal. As per the complainant, he and his cousin Sukhvir Singh were going on a motorcycle and when they reached near the main GT Road at Kadiyan village, the truck driver going in front of them applied sudden brakes of the vehicle due to which the bike rammed into the vehicle. Sunil and his cousin suffered injuries. Afterwards, the truck driver fled the scene. The complainant and his cousin were taken to the CMCH where the latter breathed his last.

Woman duped of Rs 16 lakh by agent

The Police Division Number 7 have registered a case under Section 420 of the IPC against Gaurav Aggarwal, a resident of Rohini, Delhi, on the basis of a complaint made by Leesha Sharma, a resident of Vishkarma Nagar, Tajpur Road here. The complainant said in June 2024, the suspect took Rs 16 lakh from her on the pretext of sending her to the UK. She said all fake documents were shown to her by the suspect to make her believe that her case was being pursued. No arrest has been made so far.

Two declared POs by court

Rajinder Kumar and Anju Bala, residents of Guru Nanak Dev Nagar, Basti Jodhewal, have been declared as proclaimed offenders (PO) by a local court as they failed to attend court hearings of a case. The Daresi police have registered a case under the IPC against the two suspects on the directions of the court.
