Students, representing Blue House, proved their mettle by clinching the overall trophy in the annual athletics meet of Guru Nanak International Public School (GNIPS), Model Town. Green House bagged the best march past trophy, in addition to winning the tug-of-war competition.

Jatinderpal Singh (senior section), Birinder Singh (junior section), and Gursahib Singh (sub-junior section) were declared the best athletes among boys, while Jaessica (senior group), Neha Arora (junior group), and Harseerat Kaur (sub-junior group) were adjudged the best athletes among girls.

Amrit Kaur Gill, IAS, former secretary, Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board, and Special Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, was the chief guest at the event. She was accorded a warm welcome by Gurvinder Singh Sarna and Jasvinder Singh, general secretary and manager, respectively, of the school managing committee.

The students, who had participated in the district, state, and national-level tournaments, were honoured by the chief guest and other dignitaries.

The highlight of the closing ceremony was a PT show, a band display, a yoga and a karate exhibition.
