Annual PU Zone 6 youth fest concludes at GHG Khalsa College of Education
The annual Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival of Education Zone 6 concluded on a high note at GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar, Ludhiana. DAV College of Education, Hoshiarpur, bagged the overall trophy. BCM College of Education, Ludhiana, bagged the first runners-up trophy while Dev Samaj College of Education, Chandigarh, bagged the second runners-up trophy in the event.
The event spread over four days brought together students from various educational colleges who showed their talent in an array of creative performances. The concluding day of the festival witnessed the performance of the students in the events such as vaar singing, kali singing, kavishri and heritage crafts such as guddian patole making, chikku making, pranda making, peerhi making and tokri making etc.
Raikot MLA Hakam Singh, who was the chief guest, said that cultural events are necessary for overall development of the personality.

Kali singing: 1st Dev Samaj College of Education, Chandigarh, 2nd Government College of Education, Chandigarh and 3rd DAV College of Education, Hoshiarpur.
Kavishri: 1st AS College of Education, Khanna, 2nd DAV College of Education, Hoshiarpur and 3rd Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Ludhian.
Vaar singing: 1st Government College of Education, Chandigarh, 2nd DAV College of Education, Hoshiarpur, and 3rd GHG Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar, Ludhiana.
Heritage quiz: 1st DAV College of Education, Hoshiarpur, 2nd BCM College of Education, Ludhiana, and 3rd Doraha College of Education, Doraha and Government College of Education, Chandigarh.
