A three-hour English language workshop on ‘nurturing fluent english speakers’ was held by resource person Inderjit Kaur from Graffiti Learning Solutions at Anand Isher Senior Secondary Public School, Chhapar. Inderjit talked about challenges in speaking English and an activity-based process to overcome them. She also stressed on vocabulary as the strongest pillar of language learning. She involved the teachers in interactive activities which were preformed in groups. She stressed on phonics and pronunciation in order to speak the language correctly. This was also demonstrated through different activities. The director of the school, K Singh, appreciated her efforts behind the workshop.

Guru Nanak Int’l Public School

A pool party is a great way for students to have fun in the scorching heat. The pre-primary wing of Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town, organised a pool party for the tiny tots of Balvatika-1. Students dressed in colourful swimming costumes splashed around water and had a great time in the pool. Various games like mini treasure hunt and fishing added excitement to the party. They also relished on fresh fruit juices and snacks. Finally, the party ended with the students dancing to their favourite numbers. Principal Gurmant Kaur Gill, Headmistress Navjeet Kaur Pahuja, coordinator Abhineet Sarna and other senior teachers joined in with the tiny tots.
