Acting against illegal constructions, the Municipal Corporation (MC) demolished a portion of an residential building being constructed illegally in the Durga Puri area falling under the Zone D here on Friday.

The authorities also sealed an auto service centre in a residential area of Haibowal after residents submitted complaints against the same.

On the other hand, the building branch of MC, Zone A, demolished an encroachment on a road portion in Kachi Gali (Dal bazaar) following court orders.
