As a debutant director, did you face any pressure to perform?

Yes, there is always pressure on a debutant director, especially when you are working with a famous star like Amrinder Gill. It was the positive vibes that helped me overcome it and the whole thing went smoothly.

The sequel of Chal Mera Putt was released and after three days India saw its first lockdown. What was your reaction?

Disappointment, as we had endeavoured to surpass our earlier records, but the pandemic robbed us of that chance. Hopefully once the situation becomes normal, we will find the love of the audience.

Will the Punjabi film industry pick up once we are free of Covid-19?

Of course. Everything will be back on track soon.

What are the three mantras for a hit film?

Script, script and script.

Are you at home after the Covid-19 outbreak?

Yes, I am at my home in Mohali with my family.

Do you think nature is supreme?

Yes, obviously. I accept this as Guru Nanak Devji has said, Balhari kudrat vaseya.

How are you spending your time at home?

Well, I am spending time with my lovely daughter Sidak. Earlier, I couldn’t give her much time because of the hectic schedule of Chal Mera Putt 2. I am enjoying every moment.

One thing about Punjabis that you like the most?

Well, this is a wrong question to ask a Punjabi. Ask someone, who has received the hospitality of the Punjabis.

Name the best place to eat authentic Punjabi food outside Punjab.

Vancouver and Surrey (Canada).

The best place in Punjab to visit?

Amritsar. For the Golden Temple and the food.

Life is short and it should be enjoyed to the fullest.

Another enticing script.
