What made you start a YouTube channel?

I always wanted to become an actor, but my parents told me to be practical. I gave up my dreams and pursued civil engineering. During my engineering days, I found Vine app, and I started making comic videos to entertain people which gained popularity. That eventually led to this YouTube channel.

It’s been a decade for you in this space. How have things changed?

A lot has changed in the last 5 years. The internet fun started with memes and normal templates. The evolution came with the inception of short videos depicting day-to-day life instances.

One thing about YouTubers that annoys you?

Nothing annoys me about YouTubers. I think all my YouTube colleagues are creating amazing content!

What is the most difficult part about delivering comic stuff to a virtual audience?

I think comedy is one of the most difficult things to do. I always try to maintain the natural improvisation in my videos. The comedy should come from the heart and not just through some dialogues. Even if a joke is lame, if it’s said with the right feel, it will sound hilarious to many people.

Any plans of coming back to acting in web series, given that Class of 2017 was a success?

Honestly, I was not even 10 per cent of me during the time I did that show. It was just an opportunity I got when I started getting a little fame. Now, I would love to act in a web series or movies maybe.

You recently released your first short film, Aakhri Safar, which is of horror genre. Comment.

After a series of funny videos, I wanted to try out a different genre. Something that was challenging but surprising and I think horror was the perfect fit.
