Channel Zindagi is back again in 2.0 avatar and its first original, Churails’ trailer has garnered exceptional response. Directed by Asim Abbasi, the series has an unconventional storyline that portrays the twisted tale of four self-proclaimed Churials determined to break the patriarchal shackles of society. Said Asim, “Although, I wish more shows like Churails are made by women, they are definitely better positioned to narrate a show like this. The least we can do is tell their stories as well as we can. I do not live in a woman’s body, I might be surrounded by them and might see what is happening, but, I do not have first-hand experience of what is happening.”

He added, “To compensate for that, I had a lot of women working with me on this show.”

The show pronounces empowerment for women in the real world by showcasing a twisted and thrilling story of these self-proclaimed Churails. It will stream online from August 11 onwards on ZEE5.
