Left parties to back Congress in Haryana Assembly poll
Rohtak, July 5
A joint meeting of the state leaders of the CPI and CPM was held in Rohtak yesterday. The main agenda of the meeting was to review the current political situation of the state after the Lok Sabha elections and discuss the strategy for the upcoming Assembly elections.
Surender Singh, Inderjit Singh and Savita from the CPM and Dariyav Singh Kashyap and Pawan Saini from the CPI participated in the meeting.
In a press note issued after the meeting, it was jointly stated that it is the responsibility of the Congress, which is the main Opposition party, to mobilise all secular and democratic organisations and ensure the ouster of the BJP after 10 years of its misrule in the state. The meeting held the BJP government responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state and the significant increase in crime.
