Land mafia is actively carving out illegal residential plots and colonies in the district. They are also trying to sell such plots by giving people misleading information with an intention to make money.
This has come to the notice of the district administration which has taken prompt action in the matter and identified several such colonies and plots in the district so as to put a check on illegal colonies in the district.
“It has come to our notice that land mafia is carving out illegal colonies near the Balaur area under Bahadurgarh subdivision. We are been demolishing such colonies. People should not waste their hard-earned money on buying plots in illegal colonies. Information has been received about illegal colonies being carved by mafia in urban and adjoining areas falling under Bahadurgarh tehsil,” said Pradeep Dahiya, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Jhajjar.
He said that the District Revenue Officer and the Tehsildar concerned had been directed not to register sale deeds in the area identified by the District Town Planner. Apart from this, officials of the Power Corporation had also been instructed not to issue electricity connections in that area.
“At the same time, necessary guidelines have also been issued to the District Geology and Mining Officer and Haryana State Enforcement Bureau officials, so that no illegal colony of any kind could flourish there. People need to be cautious of land mafia active in the district and should not buy plots in illegal colonies,” said Dahiya.
The District Town Planner said some khasra numbers had been identified in this regard in the Balaur area of ??Bahadurgarh sub-division.
“No Change of Land Use (CLU) and No objection Certificate (NoC) of any kind has been issued for plotting on the land,” he added.
