It is learnt that a few days back, NRI commissioner had summoned Bathinda SSP and sought a status report of the case. After probing the matter, the SSP ordered the transfer.

Complainant Gurvinder Singh of Bhagta village had lodged a complaint with the NRI Commission, in which he had alleged that after staying 15 years in Italy, when he returned to his village, he came to know that his 16-acre land had been sold on forged documents for Rs 1.64 crore. Later, a false case was also registered against him.
