Haryana Labour Minister Anil Vij presided over a meeting today with senior officials from the Labour Department, where he emphasised the need for regular inspections of all factories across the state.

Minister Vij made it clear violations of labour laws would not be tolerated and instructed officials to take strict legal action against factories failing to comply with labour regulations. He also stressed the importance of protecting workers' rights and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.

In addition, Vij directed a comprehensive record of all inspections and activities be maintained for transparency and accountability.

Addressing the problem of healthcare for workers, the minister instructed officials to ensure all registered workers receive health services based on their needs. He also emphasised the importance of extending health coverage to unregistered workers, urging concrete steps to include them under the healthcare system.

Minister Vij reiterated the safety and wellbeing of workers are the government’s top priorities. He said pending payments would be cleared soon in coordination with the Finance Department, to ensure workers do not face any delays in accessing treatment.

Additionally, the minister directed industrial institutions display information related to labour laws and worker rights on notice boards, so workers can stay informed about their rights and available benefits.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary of the Labour Department, Anand Mohan Sharan, Labour Commissioner Mani Ram Sharma and other senior officials.
