Kurukshetra University law institute shines at national moot court contest

The Institute of Law, Kurukshetra University, has achieved a remarkable feat by winning several awards at the 13th RC Chopra National Moot Court Competition organised by Saint Soldier Law College, Jalandhar, Punjab.

VC Prof Som Nath Sachdeva congratulated the students. A total of 40 teams participated in the competition, including teams from various national law universities across India.

Prof Sushila Chauhan, Director of the institute, said it was commendable that the team had bagged top awards in their very first competition. Mannat, a third-year student, and Himanshi, a second-year student, represented Kurukshetra University.

The team performed well and secured the runners-up position. For this, the team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 11,000. Additionally, Mannat was honoured with the award for the second-best student advocate, along with a cash prize of Rs 3,100. For her brilliant responses in the final round, Mannat was further awarded a special cash prize of Rs 2,100 by the judge.
