Kin of nominees actively participate in campaigning
As political activities intensify for the Assembly elections, not only the candidates, but also their family members are actively participating in campaigning and engaging with the public. While for Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, his wife Suman Saini is holding meetings and seeking support for him on the Ladwa Assembly seat, for Thanesar MLA Subhash Sudha, his wife and daughter-in-law have been canvasing actively. Similarly, for Sanyukt Sangharsh Party president Gurnam Singh Charuni, who is also the chief of the Bhartiya Kisan Union (Charuni), his wife and son have been campaigning in the Pehowa Assembly constituency.
They have been holding multiple programmes in their respective constituencies and have urged the voters to support them. Since Saini was busy pacifying the leaders and workers who were denied tickets and also attending the party programmes in other constituencies, Suman Saini and other local leaders have been campaigning for him. While interacting with the people, Suman Saini is focusing on the work done by the BJP government and is appealing to the voters to keep supporting the saffron party.

“People of the state have seen the Chief Minister working day and night and he is always available to the public. The BJP government has taken historic decisions and we are going door to door to strengthen the party’s position. We appeal to the people to make the BJP victorious for the third time in Haryana,” she added.
Balwinder Kaur, who is campaigning for her husband Gurnam Singh Charuni in Pehowa, interacts with the people and shares the struggle Gurnam has made for the farmers and labourers and seeks support for him in the election. “We are getting a positive response. He has been struggling for the rights of the farmers and labourers for over 30 years. He even remained in jails for holding agitations. People have given opportunities to the BJP and the Congress but nothing has changed. We are making people aware of the efforts made by Gurnam Singh and we are also telling them that he can work more for the public if he is sent to the state Assembly,” said Balwinder Kaur.
Similarly, for Minister Of State and Thanesar MLA Subhash Sudha, who is trying to retain the seat for the third time, his wife Uma Sudha and daughter-in-law Sugandha Sudha are appealing the voters to keep supporting the BJP. Seeking votes in the name of development over the last 10 years and work done by the Modi government for empowering women, Uma Sudha has been seeking votes for Subhash Sudha. “The BJP government has done work for all sections of society. There is a BJP government at the Centre and the people want to see the BJP government in Haryana too. Having governments of the same party both at the Centre and in the state will ensure implementation of public welfare schemes in a smooth manner,” Uma Sudha said while interacting with women at a gathering.
