Kids of Gidderbaha candidates sweat it out too
In the high-stakes political battle in Gidderbaha, it’s not just the elders, the next generations of Congress candidate Amrita Warring, AAP candidate Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon and BJP candidate Manpreet Singh Badal are also leaving no stone unturned to ensure the victory of their parents, respectively.
Amrita’s daughter Aekom has been undertaking door-to-door campaigning for her mother. She says her mother is her inspiration. “I always wanted to see my mother contest the election and finally that time has come. She is my inspiration and I learn so many things from her. She wants to do many things for the uplift of women,” she said.
Warring’s son Amaan also remains with his mother throughout the day and tours the constituency.
Dimpy’s daughter Anu Sandhoo, who is married in Fazilka district, has also been trying her level best to turn the tables in her father’s favour. “My father is the lone deserving candidate as he is a resident of Gidderbaha. Further, the ruling AAP can carry out several development works here,” said Anu.
Dimpy’s son Pavy Dhillon and nephew Abhay Dhillon are also sweating it out for the bypoll.
Manpreet Badal’s son Arjun has now started a fierce campaign for his father. He is mainly targeting Raja Warring in his speeches, appealing to the BJP workers to work on the ground without any fear. “This Warring is a coward man. You people don’t know much about him. If he doesn’t mend his ways, I will have to make public his secrets,” said Arjun, while addressing people at Doda village here.
