Mandi: Kids mark Forest Festival with song, dance & drama

DAV Centenary Public School, Jawahar Nagar, Mandi, celebrated a grand Forest Festival at the Sankun Garden in Indira Market in Mandi town yesterday.
The event was organised by the primary students of the school under the supervision of school teacher Neena Kapoor.
Principal KS Guleria, as the chief guest of the event, marked the occasion with a warm welcome and felicitations.
Various cultural programmes focused on environmental conservation were presented by students. Students from Class V-A performed a street play on planting trees and saving the environment.
Class V-B students delivered a group song on the festival.
Class V-C students raised awareness with a street play titled ‘Say No to Plastic’.
Class V-D students captivated the audience with a ‘Tree Act’ dance drama.
The performances received praise from all attendees, who commended the efforts of the children. Dimple, the primary Hindi teacher, hosted the event.
In his address, Guleria emphasised the moral responsibility of environmental protection. He urged everyone to unite in efforts to plant more trees, reduce pollution and keep the earth clean.
The festival concluded with a vow to continue spreading awareness about environmental conservation among the community.
