PAU Club won the titles in handball in the boys’ U-14 and U-17 sections in the ongoing district-level games of the third edition of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan being organised by the Punjab Sports Department under the aegis of Sports and Youth Services, Punjab, with the assistance of the district administration at different venues across the district on Thursday.

In the boys’ U-14 section, Government High School, Jawaddi, and GAD Academy secured the second and third position, respectively, while in the U-17 group, the second and third positions were bagged by BVM School, Kitchlu Nagar branch, and GAD Academy, respectively.

In judo (girls’ U-17), Sania of BVM School, Kitchlu Nagar branch, emerged the winner in below 36kg weight category and Nisha of Madhopuri finished at the second place while Mansi of Madhopuri got the third position. In below 40kg weight group, Namrata of International Public School, Ranjana of Madhopuri, and Ritisha secured the first three positions.

In below 44kg weight section, Manvi of Indo Canadian School came out victorious and was followed by Aarti of Madhopuri and Muskan of Madhopuri at the second and third place, respectively. In below 48kg weight group, Chanchal secured the top position, Saloni finished at second while Vedika and Neerja shared the third place.

In boys’ U-17 section (judo), Arshpeep Singh (below 45kg), Yuvraj (below 50 kg), Gulshan (below 55kg), Gautam (below 60kg), Arjun (below 66kg) and Nibhay (below 73kg) secured the first position.

In volleyball (smashing) for U-17 boys, USPC Jain Public School emerged the champions. Guru Nanak Stadium team finished at the second spot and Gidharwindi village secured the third position.

In kabaddi (national style) for U-17 boys, Ranian village team came out triumphant while the Pakhowal team secured the second place and Khanna finished at the third place while in the U-21 boys’ section, Indo Canadian School emerged the winners and Raikot team secured the second place with Pakhowal team finishing as second runners-up.

In athletics (boys’ U-17), Hari Nandan (200m race), Gagandeep Singh (triple jump), Japjot Singh (javelin throw), Antishya (110m hurdles) and in the boys’ U-21 section, Kulbir Ram (200m race), Mohit Mangat (800m race), Sachin Kumar (5,000m race), Gurnoor Singh (triple jump) and Gurmeet Singh (110m hurdles) while in the boys’ 21-30 years group, Rajbir Singh (200m race) and Anand (110m hurdles) secured the top position.
