Mallikarjun Kharge, national president of Congress, has exposed the Congress on its own party's guarantees and unfulfilled promises. This was stated by Anurag Thakur, former union minister while talking to media persons at Sameerpur, near here, today. Thakur said that Congress was misleading people making false promises to grab votes.

He said the situation was turning from bad to worse in the Congress-ruled states like Telangana, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh where poor financial management and governance had ruined the financial health of these states. He added that it was unfortunate that salary of employees and pension to retired employees were not given on time. The state government was talking of releasing Dearness Allowances and arrears but it would again prove an fulfilled promise.

Anurag Thakur said the economy of the country was growing at fast pace and many international financial institutions like World Bank, IMF and others had appreciated the growth. He said the Congress had ruled for years but could neither bring development nor prosperity to the country. Instead, it only created hurdles in development and encouraged corruption.

Reverting on the clean chit to the Assembly elections of Haryana by the Election Commission of India, Anurag Thakur said that Congress always raised questions on the EVMs whenever it was defeated in elections. He said that it was unfair to raise allegations on the constitutional institutions like the EC. He said after losing elections in Haryana, Congress would face the same fate in Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly elections.

Earlier, BJP leaders from the district and state visited Sameerpur to greet Dhumal family on festive occasions.
