A cycling expedition launched by the Ambala-based Kharga Corps to commemorate the Swarnim Vijay Varsh and celebrate Kharga Corps’ golden jubilee was flagged in at the National War Memorial, New Delhi, today.

The expedition, comprising 25 cyclists from the Deep Strikers Division of the Corps, covered a distance of 702 km from Dera Baba Nanak War Memorial in Punjab to the Capital after starting off on October 3.
The team members paid homage to martyrs at nine war memorials en route as well as interacted with veterans and war widows in areas through which they traversed. A wreath was also laid at the memorials on behalf of the Corps.
