Key suspect nabbed in petrol bomb attack case
The Ludhiana police in a joint operation with the counter intelligence wing on Saturday claimed to have arrested the key suspect in the incident of petrol bomb attack at the house of Shiv Sena leader Harkirat Singh Khurana.
ADCP (Crime) Amandeep Singh Brar in a statement issued stated that on November 2, three motorcycle riders had hurled a petrol bomb at the house of Shiv Sena leader Harkirat Singh Khurana, a resident of Model Town Extension, here.
The key suspect, Lovepreet, alias Sonu Baba, a resident of Nawanshahr, who was riding the motorcycle, was at large in the case. He was being continuously searched by the police along with the team led by AIG, Counter Intelligence, Ludhiana, Simratpal Singh Dhindsa.
Brar said on Saturday, Lovepreet was arrested from the Ladhowal area.
On November 5, the police had arrested Jaswinder Singh, alias Binder, a resident of Boothgarh in Ludhiana, Ravinder Pal Singh, alias Ravi (38), Manish Sahid, alias Sanju (30), and Anil Kumar, alias Honey (27), residents of Rahon in Nawanshahr, in the case. The suspects were part of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) module being run by foreign individuals. Police teams had then also recovered two mobile phones and impounded a TVS Raider motorcycle (bearing registration no. Punjab 32 AC 3770) used to commit the crime.
Lovepreet, along with his accomplices Ravinder Pal and Anil Kumar, had thrown the petrol bomb at the house of Sena leader.
Another suspect, Laddi, is also wanted in the case.
