The 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated in the school. Soldiers from the Kharkan Camp of the BSF were honoured by Principal Neelam Guleria in the morning assembly. In-depth information about Kargil Vijay Diwas was presented by schoolteacher Ravinder Singh and it was told that it is the day to pay tributes to the martyrs and the brave soldiers of Himachal Pradesh had made an important contribution in the Kargil war. Out of the total four Param Vir Chakras received in this war, two were won by the brave soldiers of Himachal Pradesh with their indomitable bravery and courage. The valour stories of Captain Vikram Batra PVC (posthumously) and Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar are still inspiring our coming generation. Neelam Guleria presented a passionate speech. She said, “It is only after the martyrdom of these brave soldiers that we are able to feel safe in our homes today.”
