The month-long seventh ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah-2024’, a national initiative aimed at promoting nutrition and eradicating malnutrition, concluded at Sukhna Lake.

Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, along with his wife, graced the closing ceremony. In his address, Kataria reiterated the importance of collective efforts to combat malnutrition.

The state-level ‘Poshan ka Mela’, organised as part of the celebration, focused on enhancing public awareness and strengthening community-level interventions. The event commenced with a special walkathon on ‘Poshan’, officially flagged off by the Governor. Around 100 anganwadi workers participated, carrying placards and banners promoting vital nutrition and emphasising on the role of proper nutrition in fostering healthy communities.
