At the 67th National Film Awards ceremony, which took place in New Delhi today, actress Kangana Ranaut received  the Best Actress award for her roles in two films ‘Manikarnika’ and ‘Panga’. Dressed in a golden Kanchipuram saree with red border, she looked beautiful.

The actress completed the look with heavy gold jewellery, a bindi and gajra. This is her fourth National Award. Kangana previously won Best Supporting Actress for her role in ‘Fashion’ and Best Actress Awards for ‘Queen’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.

Sharing her pictures on Instagram, Kangana wrote, ““Today I am receiving joint National Award for two of my performances… Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi (2019) Panga(2020) I also co directed Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi Immense gratitude for the teams of these films ….”

Superstar Rajinikanth received his Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the ceremony hosted in Delhi. The official Twitter handle of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting shared a video that paid honour to the talented actor for his contribution to the entertainment industry.

“Superstar @rajinikanth receives the prestigious #DadasahebPhalkeAward at 67th #NationalFilmAwards for his stupendous contribution to the world of Indian Cinema,” the video caption read.

Celebrities including Manoj Bajpayee, Dhanush and others were also presented with the awards. Manoj Bajpayee and Dhanush picked up best actor National Awards for their roles in ‘Bhonsle’ and ‘Asuran’— Hindi and Tamil films. Asuran was also awarded best Tamil film. Apart from the actors, singers B Praak and Savani Ravindra received the award in the Best Male Playback Singer for Teri Mitti and Best Female Playback Singer for Raan Petala, respectively.
