A. Vocational education or studies also called career and technical education that prepares learners for jobs that are based in practical activities, non-academic and totally related to specific occupations like beauty, nursing and craft etc.
Skill India is an initiative launched by the government in 2015 to train students. The main moto is to raise confidence and promote employment

Skill based programmes :
· Fashion Designing – If you are creative and have a “nose for fashion” then it is the good option for you. One just needs to have a diploma in fashion designing to work for a designer or start one’s own boutique.
· Computer accounting with tally – In this you just need one computer and a four months’ course of tally plus accounting the highest package of computer accounting with tally is 2,33,899 per annum .
· Beautician – A fresher can earn up to 20,000 in this career. A beautician is a trained professional who uses cosmetology techniques to provide hair, nail or skin care services.
Management based courses :
· Finance – If you are good at maths or management then it is the best course for you. It involves the study of money and investment.
· Tourism – “Dream business” The business of providing guidance and services to the people who are on holiday. If you love traveling and seeing the world then it is for you. You just need four months or three months diploma degree in this.
· Banking – A course in this field will give you a foothold in the banking sector and industrious students can carve a lucrative career for themselves from there on.
· Nursing – The noblest profession ever and you just need 11 months for this course to hold a degree. Nursing is all about caring, compassion and knowledge you can also go to foreign countries for services as this profession is in high demand.
