BBA in Hospitality Management Programme 

 Indian School of Hospitality is offering BBA in Hospitality Management course. The programme is based on an international curriculum that is being taught by the world oldest and best hospitality school — Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), Switzerland.

 The hospitality management programme offers a broad educational approach across a range of courses and concentrations that prepares students with required management theories and operational competencies to enter any segment of the industry upon graduation.

 Duration: The programme consists of four years of undergraduate study culminating in the award of a BBA in Hospitality Management at the end of three years and the academic certification of Ecole Hotelier Lausanne at the end of the fourth year.

 The first three years are focussed on developing business acumen and skills associated with a traditional BBA programme while the fourth year is focussed on developing deeper cognitive skills in live student business projects following the curriculum of EHL. The development of soft skills, life skills and truly transferrable skills to prepare students for the future are overlaid across all four years of study.

 Eligibility: The minimum eligibility to apply for a Higher Secondary School Certificate or State Boards, CBSE and ICSE is 40% marks in Class XII with English as one of the subjects is the minimum requirement.

 In the case of International Baccalaureate students, a diploma is the minimum requirement. International Baccalaureate certificate students are not eligible for admission.

 In the case of Cambridge University students (GCE/IGCSE/GCSE examinations of the approved British Examination Bodies), ‘A’ Level certificate is the minimum requirement with 5 (Five) subjects in A, B, C Grades including English at Ordinary (‘O’) Level and 2/3 (Two/Three) subjects at Advanced Level.

MSc Molecular and Cellular Basis of Human Disease

The University of Sheffield, UK is inviting applications for  MSc Molecular and Cellular Basis of Human Disease course starting in September 2021.

Whole genome sequencing has opened up a new era of studies into the molecular and cellular basis of human disease. This unique research-led master’s course provides training to future scientists in the production and use of animal models for basic research into disease mechanisms and for therapeutic studies.

The new molecular genetic and cellular approaches to understand human disease and disease processes in model systems are well established in our department, with some of the world’s foremost research in these areas being conducted in Sheffield.

This 12-month course has been built around expertise in molecular and cellular biology to offer specialist practical and lecture modules on the mechanisms behind human disease. Possible topics include developmental genetics, epithelial physiology and cancer biology – a full list of current modules is given below. Students will also get training in the skills every professional scientist needs, such as research ethics and literature analysis.

Eligibility: Holders of a three-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 65% or “first class” from a reputable university in a biomedical-related subject. Medical students who wish to intercalate their studies are also accepted. Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.

Fee: Overseas students (2020 annual fee) is £ 25, 850 and the fee for 2021 is yet to be announced.
