Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pradeep Dahiya has directed officials to follow a strict dress code during the duty hours in a proper manner here.

He warned the officials of initiating stringent disciplinary action against any officials, who are found not wearing their uniform during the designated duty hours.

DC Dahiya issued these directives here on Tuesday, while carrying out surprise inspections at a number of government offices located at the Mini-Secretariat here.

He also asked the officials concerned to keep their offices clean, following a clean desk policy. He emphasised inculcating punctuality into their routine and directed all officials concerned of the departments to always come for their duty on time.

As per the instructions issued here today, Class IV employees and security guard should wear the khaki uniform, while the other officials can follow a normal dress code.

The DC also inspected the offices, including e-Disha Centre, Tehsil Office, District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO), Election, District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO). He expressed satisfaction after seeing sanitary conditions at the Mini-Secretariat.

Dahiya also instructed the employees to take care of cleanliness and discipline in the maintenance of files and documents so that the public could get better and smooth services.
