A multi-vehicle pile-up occurred late Thursday night on the Phagwara-Hoshiarpur Road due to zero visibility caused by dense fog and smog.

The accident involved eight vehicles, including a bus, two cars, two bikes, two trucks, and a tractor trolley, which collided at three different spots along the road. The dense fog reduced visibility to near zero, causing motorists to struggle with slow-moving traffic and long tailbacks.

Drivers were reported to be crawling at a pace of just 3 km/h, unable to proceed at normal speed due to the hazardous conditions. The road was blocked at several locations, leading to severe disruptions.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Police officers worked to clear the wreckage and restore traffic flow.
