Truck crushes 3-year-old to death

In a tragic incident near Wadala Chowk in Jalandhar, a 3-year-old boy was crushed to death by a speeding truck. As per information, the child, identified as Dharamvir, was accompanied by his father and they were going to their relative’s home.

The deceased’s father had held his son’s hand as they were walking on the side of the road. Talking to mediapersons, his father said, “The speed was such that my I couldn’t save my son. The truck was about to hit me as well,” he said.

It is reported that the driver didn’t stop even after hitting the kid, but passersby forced him to stop the truck. One of the passersby, who helped nabbing the driver, said, “The driver didn’t show any humanity. He just tried to flee the spot. When we asked him, he said he would take the child to the hospital after parking the truck at its location. But, we caught hold of him,” he added.

The family members cried and demanded justice from the police.

The police reached the spot to investigate the matter. “We will register case against the driver,” the police personnel said.
