Spirit of womanhood celebrated with dandiya events
AGI Global School marked the ongoing Navratri celebrations with a lively dandiya event last night. The event was dedicated to celebrating the strength and spirit of women. The festival symbolises the triumph of good over evil, honouring Goddess Durga’s victory over demon Mahishasura. The colorful dandiya sticks represent the goddess’s sword in her battle against darkness.
School director Harleen Mohanty emphasised the importance of such cultural celebrations, stating they brought together different segments of society and fostered unity. “These events not only enrich the students’ understanding of diverse cultures but also strengthen community bonds,” she said.
AGI Infra Ltd managing director Sukhdev Singh highlighted the significance of hosting such events in schools. He noted that these gatherings promoted cultural awareness among students and provided a platform for the community to come together.
