Satinder Sartaj’s much-anticipated concert, scheduled for November 10 at Guru Nanak Stadium in Kapurthala, has been cleared to proceed after facing a legal challenge from a local resident. The administration has approved the event with 16 specific conditions to ensure public safety and avoid inconvenience.

A letter issued by the Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner to the organisers, Firdaus Production Private Ltd, outlines several requirements for the concert. These include ensuring no disruption to the public or surrounding areas, videography of the entire event and the installation of CCTV cameras at the venue to capture footage of all attendees and vehicles. Adequate parking arrangements must be made and the venue should be at least 100 meters away from the road to avoid traffic issues. The organisers are also responsible for ensuring no damage occurs to public or private property during the event. Fire extinguishers must be present on-site and loudspeakers must comply with Supreme Court guidelines on noise pollution. Additionally, there must be no excavation or demolition work at the stadium and no electricity wires should be placed above the venue. Weapons or displays of weapons are prohibited and drinking water must be provided to attendees. Medical facilities, including a doctor, should be on standby and GST details must be submitted to the Assistant Commissioner of Excise for ticket sales.

The concert had been challenged in court by a Kapurthala resident who argued that the event would interfere with the daily training of sportsmen who use the stadium. However, after a hearing on October 30, the court allowed the concert to proceed, provided the organisers ensured no damage to the stadium.

The District Magistrate, Amit Panchal emphasised the organisers must adhere to all the conditions set out in the permission letter and failure to do so would result in legal action.
