‘Sarkar Aap Ke Dwar’ scheme: 565 Lok Sewa camps to be held in Kapurthala

While reviewing the preparations being made for Lok Sewa camps under the Punjab Government’s “Sarkar Aap Ke Dwar” programme today, Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal said as many as 565 camps were scheduled to be held in the district.
“The aim of this initiative is to provide citizen services to people at their native places from February 6,” said Panchal adding that four camps would be organised in each sub-division everyday to facilitate people of those areas by providing them required services.
Urging people to avail of the benefits of these camps, Panchal said all 598 villages and 150 MC wards would be covered through these camps. He said 190 camps would be held in Kapurthala sub-division, while 155 in Sultanpur Lodhi, 79 in Bholath and 141 in Phagwara sub-division.
He said the camps would be held under the supervision of SDMs. Officials from various departments, including Revenue, Sewa Kendras, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Social Security and Development of Women and Children, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Health, Water Supply and Sanitation, PSPCL, Rural Development and Panchayats, Food Supply Labour and Police, would resolve the grievances of people as well as deliver the services applied by them on the spot.
Citizen services such as birth or death certificates, affidavit attestation, stipend to children of beneficiaries, residence certificate, SC certificate, registration of construction workers, pension to old age persons, BC certificate, electricity payment, addition of name in birth certificate, inspection of revenue records, registration of marriage (compulsory), multiple cases of death certificate, renewal of construction worker card, correction of entry in birth certificate, issuance of death/NAC certificate, rural area certificate, multiple copies of birth certificate, general caste certificate, pension to widow/destitute citizens, non-encumbrance certificate, equity entry of mortgage, delayed entry of birth certificate, income certificate, pension to handicapped, fard generation, disability certificate (UDID), countersigning of documents, registration of marriage (Anand), Shagun scheme, pension to dependent children, border area certificate, delayed registration of death, countersigning of documents of NRI, countersigning of police clearance certificate, correction of entry in death certificate and Kandi area certificate will be provided to the applicants.
Panchal said matter concerning to court cases, upgrade of schools, roads and dispensaries, five-marla plot and agriculture debt waiver would not be considered in these camps.
Camps in two shifts
As per the schedule, camps will be held in two shifts – 10 am to 1 pm at first two locations and 2 pm to 5 pm at other two locations. In the Kapurthala sub-division, first camps will be organised at Kanjli and Kokalpur, followed by Dhamm and Bheelan villages. In Bholath, first camps will be held at Raawan and Talwandi Kuka villages, whereas Dhakkran and Kamalapur in the afternoon. In Phagwara, camps are being held at Darvesh Pind and Uccha Pind, followed by Jagatpur Jattan and Nihalgarh villages. The Sultanpur Lodhi sub-division will witness these camps at Sabuwal and Todarwal and Dandupur and Mulabaha villages.
