The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police returned seized properties worth over Rs 13 crore to their rightful owners during a special event titled ‘Arpan Samaroh’ held at Police Lines, here today.

DGP Gaurav Yadav lauded the initiative, stating that it reflects the police’s commitment to justice and public service. Among the returned items were 413 vehicles, jewellery, household goods and other possessions involved in 583 cases registered over the past year.

Additionally, 100 lost mobile phones worth Rs 20 lakh were traced and handed back to their owners. These recoveries were facilitated through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, ensuring a speedy resolution for the affected individuals.
