Kheda Watan Punjab Dian will start from September 3 in Jalandhar for which online registration is going on. But players have been facing several problems online and the Sports Department has offered the players to register offline too.
As per information, until now 1,000 players from the district have registered themselves. Last year, the number was over 8,000.
The reason is complex online website where the players were trying to register themselves. A coach from the department said the players were approaching him and saying that they were not able to register themselves,” he said.
“We have offered the players to register offline in case they face problems. They have to fill the form and must bring an Aadhar card with them,” said Gurpreet Singh, District Sports officer.
Department officials said players U-14, U-17 and U- 19 have been showing interest in various games.
Firstly, block-level games will be held and then district-level competitions will take place. Block-level games will start from September 3. Six games — football, athletics, volleyball, kho kho, tug-of-war and kabaddi will be held in 11 blocks.
