Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal, who is also the District Election Officer (DEO), has instructed all electoral officers and election tehsildars to ensure that no eligible individual should be deprived of being registered as a voter under the special summary revision of electoral rolls.

The Election Commission of India has initiated a programme for revising the voter lists based on the eligibility date of January 1, 2025. As per the schedule, claims and objections would be received by the BLOs from October 29 to November 28. Besides, claims and objections will be received at the polling booths of all Assembly constituencies on November 9, 10, 23 and 24 by the BLOs.

The claims and objections will be disposed of on December 24 and the final publication of voter lists will take place on January 6.
