Murder case solved, two in police net
The police today claimed to have solved a blind murder case within 24 hours and arrested two accused with two datar and a car used in the crime.
The accused have been identified as Sandeep Kumar and Goldy.
Aje Rai from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, currently residing in Sobhuwal village, Nawanshahr, said during the intervening night of September 26-27, two assailants arrived in a white car and assaulted Ramesh Kumar and later killed him. After committing the crime, they fled in their car. A case under Sections 103 and 3(5) of the BNS was registered registered at Kathgarh and investigation was initiated.
Considering the sensitivity of the crime, teams were formed under the direct supervision of Dr Mukesh Kumar, SP, and Sham Sunder, DSP, Balachaur, which were led by Ranjit Singh, SHO, and Inspector Avtar Singh, in-charge, CIA. During investigation, two accused were apprehended at a naka.
During preliminary interrogation, Sandeep and Goldy confessed to killing Ramesh. The police said during the interrogation, the accused revealed that the deceased had insulted Sandeep’s mother a few days ago. “In order to take revenge, Sandeep made a conspiracy with Goldy and murdered Ramesh,” the police said.
