Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi, the chairman of Shahid Bhagat Singh Foundation, Pakistan, said, “In the Saunders murder case, which was registered against Bhagat Singh Rajguru and Sukh Dev on December 17, 1928, at the Anarkali police station in Lahore, the names of these three were not mentioned in the FIR. The three were hanged on the black warrant issued by the Registrar of Lahore High Court, while issuing black warrant is the job of the court, and not the Registrar.”

He said Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan PM, should award Pakistan’s highest civilian award ‘Nishan-a-Pakistan’ and similarly Indian PM Narendra Modi should award India’s highest civilian award ‘Bharat Ratna’ to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. He also demanded that the life and struggles of these three be included in the curriculum in Pakistan.
