In a shocking incident, members of two rival groups had a fight and one opened fire at two persons, leaving them seriously injured in Mota Singh Nagar. The incident took place around 3 pm. The accused has been identified as Shivam and the injured are Hani and Karanvir Singh. Both of them suffered bullet injuries on leg and head.

As per information, both groups have had an old rivalry and Shivam had reportedly called Hani and Karan for compromise on some old matter.

SHO, Division 6, said the investigation was on. "Once we nab the accused and record the statement, things will get cleared," the SHO said.

This incident has certainly shocked the city residents. Already, the campaigning for the MC elections are going on and leaders and supporters are out there.

This incident has raised questions on the security of the city residents. Recently, the State Election Commissioner had visited the city to review arrangements.
