LPU wins runners-up trophy at youth festival

Lovely Professional University (LPU) once again proved its unwavering commitment to excellence and cultural preservation by securing the first runners-up position at the Punjab State Youth Festival 2024. Held at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) under the leadership of Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann, the three-day event brought together universities from across the state to celebrate youthful energy, talent and the vibrant Punjabi culture.

LPU’s remarkable performance included 11 first positions, 15 second positions and 7 third positions, making it the only private university to consistently rank among the top three for the overall Youth Festival Trophy for the past three years. With over 2,500 participants from 20 institutions showcasing their talent in 51 diverse cultural and heritage competitions, the festival was an extraordinary display of youth spirit and creativity.

Adding to the grandeur of the festival were mesmerising performances by celebrated artistes such as Jasbir Jassi, Kanwal Grewal and Harbhajan Maan.
