The 75th Senior State Football Championship organised by the District Football Association at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, concluded with great fanfare.

Mahendra Bhagat, Minister Defense Services Welfare, Welfare of Freedom Fighters and Horticulture, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest.

This event was presided over by Jaspal Singh Waraich, Joint Secretary, Governing Council, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar.

The first match was played between the teams of Jalandhar and Nawanshahr for the third and fourth place, which was tied at 2-2 at full time. Jalandhar won the match with 4 goals through penalty kick and secured the third place.

Today’s final match was between Kapurthala and Patiala teams. In this hard-fought match, Kapurthala’s team won by 1-0 to become the champion of the 75th Senior State Football Championship.
