Jalandhar Cantonment railway station redevelopment: Trains cancelled, diverted, and rescheduled
Due to the redevelopment work at the Jalandhar Cantonment railway station under the Firozpur division, several trains have been affected, impacting the Amritsar railway station.
The trains that have been cancelled from September 30 to October 9 include Amritsar to Nangal Dam, Nangal Dam to Amritsar, Ludhiana to Chheharta and Chheharta to Ludhiana. The trains that have been rescheduled are 22429 Old Delhi to Amritsar (Sept 30 - Oct 9), 14617 Purnia Court to Amritsar (Sept 29 - Oct 8), 12317 Kolkata to Amritsar (Oct 2 - Oct 6), 12357 Kolkata to Amritsar (Oct 5 - Oct 8), Jayanagar to Amritsar (Sept 29 - Oct 8), 11057 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Amritsar (Sept 28 - Oct 7), 12379 Sealdah to Amritsar (Oct 4), 04651 Jayanagar to Amritsar (Oct 4, 6, 8), 14615 Lalkuan to Amritsar (Oct 5) and 04653 New Jalpaiguri to Amritsar (Oct 4).
The short-terminated trains include New Delhi to Amritsar (Sept 30 - Oct 9) at Phagwara, New Delhi to Amritsar (Sept 30 - Oct 5) at Ludhiana, Saharsa to Amritsar (Sept 29 - Oct 6) at Chandigarh and Kanpur Central to Amritsar (Sept 30 - Oct 7) at Ambala Cantt. The short-originated trains are Amritsar to New Delhi (Sept 30 - Oct 9) from Phagwara, Amritsar to New Delhi (Sept 30 - Oct 9) from Ludhiana, Amritsar to Saharsa (Sept 30 - Oct 7) from Chandigarh and Amritsar to Kanpur Central (Oct 1 - Oct 5) from Ambala Cantt.
